Nena’s Story

“I have worked at various social services agencies, volunteered with Faith in Action, and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Wanting to do more, I returned to school and earned my bachelor’s in social and behavioral studies in 2014. I then gained experience at YCAP, Rescare, and the Housing Authority, which led me to pursue a master’s in Rehabilitation Mental Health Counseling. During my studies, I joined Lutheran Community Services, where I worked with children and adults. Helping others has always been fulfilling, and I continue this work today. Throughout our work together, I will help you develop coping skills and regain a sense of calm.”
