Kel Lash, LPC, brings eight years of counseling experience to Newberg Counseling & Wellness. Before becoming a therapist, she worked in school settings and was drawn to listening to the students’ needs and helping them manage their behaviors. During this time, she had a traumatic experience that led her to seek counseling for herself. These experiences led her to pursue counseling to help others. Former clients and colleagues describe Kel as having a calm and peaceful presence, being non-judgmental and accepting of everyone, and as a great listener.
Kel works via telehealth with adolescents and adults who are navigating LGBT issues, anxiety, autism, and past trauma. Her specialties also include counseling for the spiritual and religious experiences of her clients as Kel is also a certified Spiritual Coach. She encourages healing of self-blame, guilt, and shame from trauma through self-acceptance and self-love. She enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and playing board games in her free time. She has a kitty who likes to go on walks and go camping with her. She enjoys singing, listening to music, and playing guitar—and she loves to eat!
