Jonielle Bailey, LCSW

Jonielle specializes in working with children, teens, and adults who struggle with trauma, abuse, anxiety, anger, thoughts of suicide, depression, family struggles, and relationship challenges. Her expertise includes helping with life transitions (such as divorce, career, retirement, and more) as well as processing past experiences and current relationship challenges.

She brings a decade of clinical experience and an understanding of the mental health system in Yamhill County and beyond. Working with children often means working with parents to help them to better understand their child’s needs as well as effective ways of working together as a family. Jonielle’s years of experience with traumatized children has made her an expert at listening to family members and working together to chart a positive path forward.

With teenagers, Jonielle is adept at addressing the variety of issues that surface as teens and parents navigate a complex world. Using a large tool box of techniques and modalities (individual therapy, family therapy, parent coaching), therapy with Jonielle gives teens a safe space to find a path toward increased self-confidence and responsibility and independence.

Jonielle’s clients say that they appreciate her non-judgmental stance – her way of offering an outside perspective on situations while not telling them what to do. Her clinical trainings include Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She also uses traditional CBT, Internal Family Systems Theory and Narrative Therapy. Jonielle is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level 2) for those who have experienced complex trauma. In addition to this certification, Jonielle is in the process of completing the Star Behavioral Health Tier II training which addresses the challenges of United States Military service members and their families.

Her approach is always client-focused, and using reflective listening, empathy, compassion to create the best relationships possible with her clients.

In her free time, Jonielle enjoys getting away to the Oregon Coast and spending time with friends, family and pets.
